Klaud Nine is a female of average height with a slim, fit physique. She has blonde hair and purple eyes, and a large scar marks the upper portion of her face in an "X" formation, meeting between her eyes. Her Exorcist uniform consists of tight black pants worn under a skin-tight, sleeveless top that has tails on either side of her legs, all trimmed in gold. She wears thick gauntlets on her arms that almost reach her shoulders, as well as several belts that bear pouches along the back. One half of her face is covered by hair, and the other side has burn scars (although in both the second and fourth opening themes and in one scene of the anime, the burn scars do not appear as visible as it does in the manga, appearing as slightly lighter in skin tone on her face).

PersonalityEdit

She seems to be a gentle woman, as she is seen weeping for her deceased team. She also seems very friendly and calm, as she was shown taking Timothy to the nurse when he got a fever from being in the rain. However, she is very stern and serious when it comes to her duty as an Exorcist, as she berates Cross for not taking the situation against the Akuma they were fighting seriously. She also tends to go on missions even after returning home, stating she likes the travel. She is also one of the few women to be able to repel Cross's advances, as she claims he's "useless".

PlotEdit

Edo arcEdit

After her Exorcist team (consisting of Tina Spark, Gwen Flail, and Sol Galen) is eliminated by Tyki Mikk, Klaud returns to the Black Order HQ in order to meet with the other Generals. She is then seen paying her respects to members of her unit in the church alongside fellow General Winters Socalo.[2] She sees that they have already been cremated and she says that at least they won't have to fight anymore. Socalo however, felt more happy to berate his former unit members. They both are then called by the Great Generals for a meeting.

Invasion of the Black Order ArcEdit

She attends the reunion held by Malcolm C. Lvellie following the events of the Noah's Ark. She sits next to Socalo. When the idea of using the Noah's Ark to move is raised, she asks if they intend to give order so that they exorcists embark aboard the ark. Socalo says he doesn't care.

Later, she is seen drinking wine with fellow General Cross Marian.[3] Though she asks him why he chose her as a drinking partner, she does not seem entirely unwilling. She does, however, shoot down Marian's advances rather coldly. They are then interrupted by Allen Walker who drops papers on Cross.

When the Noah, Lulu Bell, attacks the headquarters Allen and Bookman are the only ones who can fight in the room and they end up overwhelmed., Fortunately she arrives to save the dayalong with the other generals, Marie and Miranda. She teams up with Cross, Socalo, Tiedoll, and Allen Walker to mount a counterattack.[4] She activates her innocence and her monkey grows huge. She send Lau Shimin on a giant akuma which he proceeds to destroy. Comically, she tells Cross to do some work, he says he hates work, so she asks him if he wants to get whipped to which he replies, "Not a bad idea".

Afterwards, Miranda (who was keeping the egg from disappearing) is captured by Lulu Bell. As they can't let it return to the earl, the generals decide to destroy it and she orders Lau Shimin to do so. However the monkey is projected by an attack of Lulu Bell. She then states that they have no more time as Marie's strings (which are keeping the egg from sinking) are too sharp and can't retrieve the egg, they must destroy it now. They can't keep attacking while thinking about Miranda's safeness. Socalo and Cross agrees. They all move to higher gear. Klaud uses Destruction Shell Lau Gunz .

But the morning isn't over for a level 4 is born in the headquarters; Shen Allen is smashed through the ground, the generals including Klaud notice it and raise their head. The akuma then pushes a strident scream that paralyze them all. He then destroys the floor and they all disappear. When the level 4 is finally overwhelmed, it attempts to fly away but Socalo and Nine are awaiting him on the upper floor, ready to finish it.

Phantom Thief G arcEdit

After Timothy Hearst joined the Black Order he became Klaud's apprentice.[5]

Third Exorcists arcEdit

During the attack on the North America Branch Klaud was in Greece with her new team consisting of Lenalee Lee, Goushi and Timothy Hearst, facing off against Lulu Bell in the form of a dragon.[6] In the anime, when Timothy fails to attack Goushi, she carries his unconscious body, prompting Lenalee to finish Goushi off.[7]

Searching for A.W. arcEdit

In the anime, Klaud, along with the rest of the Exorcists, takes part in the pursuit of Allen Walker when he fled from the Order with the Noah. As they are ambushed by the Thirds (Madarao, Tewaku and Tokusa) and Akuma troops and Timothy joins the battle, she notes that her new apprentice seems to fight well, before activating Lau Jimin and engaging in the combat too. Soon enough, she and the rest of the Exorcists noticed that all of them were gathered by the enemy within the pentagramm of flames. The Thirds confront them directly, and when Klaud and Sokaro try to destroy them with Lau Gunz and Cremation Dance respectivelly, their attacks are easily absorbed. Then, the next wave of Akuma arrives, and the Exorcists fend them off. Klaud can be seen fighing Tewaku with her Lau Jimin.[8]

Three months after the attack on the North American Branch, Klaud is just returning from a mission with Timothy and quickly leaves to prepare for a new mission with Miranda.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

Animal Trainer: Formerly a member of a circus, Klaud is an expert animal trainer, something reflected in her Anti-Akuma Weapon, Lau Jimin, which is a sentient animal that obeys her commands. She carries a whip into battle with her and seems to use it while giving Lau Jimin commands, though whether it has any actual effect or is simply a remnant of her days in the circus is unknown.

InnocenceEdit

Klaud Nine - Lau Shimin

Lau Jimin (ラウ・シーミン, Rau Shīmin): Klaud's Innocence is a little monkey that rides on her shoulder. This parasitic type Innocence, called Lau Jimin (or Lau Shimin), is the first sentient, animalistic Innocence shown in the series. When activated, the monkey transforms into a monstrous simian that attacks with balls of energy that form at its fists.[9] Klaud doesn't display this ability until the assault on headquarters by Lulu Bell. In this form, Lau Jimin shows incredible strength, speed, and agility, capable of leaping incredible distances with the greatest of ease.

  • Long Range Mode : Destruction Shell Lau Gunz (破甲砲 "ラウ・ガンズ"[10] Yabu kabuto-hō "rau ganzu", lit. translation "Artillery Shell Fracture "Lau Guns""): Lau Jimin, upon receiving Klaud's command, splits from the top of its head down to its groin, an explosive mass of energy building up in the center of this split and firing to deal devastating damage.[11]
